Project Description
The Townsville City Council approached us to light this building and wanted us to come up with a concept that would suit the building and what it was used for. A little history on the building is that it was originally a working Courthouse and over the years a new courthouse was built and this then became an arts and musical event space. Given that the building is over 100 years old it is classed as heritage listed and we were not able to drill, screw of fit anything to the building. Given its use we decided to create a plan where we could put projection onto the building of patterns that gave that art appeal and also worked for the many events they have there. This projection could also be changed to match the types of events. This concept meant that we could install lights away from the building which really worked for this install.
We have also installed a remote access and all programming is done offsite and load live to the site for each day.
