Vibrant Lighting for Palmer Street Lighthouse
Project Description
At Pure Lighting Australia, we are delighted to present our recent project on the iconic Wharton Reef Lighthouse located down Palmer street in Townsville. Our team expertly designed and implemented a lighting system that transforms this historic structure into a vibrant beacon of colour and light.
The lighthouse has a lighting system of 468 pixel dot lights in RGBW. Further more we have also installed a beacon light in the top of the lighthouse that does a continual 360 degree rotation. We have installed the system in a way that every single one of the 468 lights have been address individually and can be programmed to do any type of effect from a glitter mode to a full rainbow colour chase. The lights are strategically placed to highlight the architectural details of the lighthouse, ensuring it remains a prominent and eye-catching landmark in the area. We wanted to go one step further, so we decided to create a show that runs every 30 minutes and goes for 3 minutes. During the 3 minutes it goes through twinkle modes into fast changing colour modes. The rotating beacon light in the top also goes through these changes during the show. At all other times it runs the colours chosen for the relates to that date.
Our lighting solutions are designed with energy efficiency and durability in mind, ensuring that the lighthouse continues to shine brightly for years to come. The lighting system offers a reliable and consistent illumination that enhances the beauty of the lighthouse every night. Once again on this site we have used a remote system that allows the ability to program the colours required for these lights and upload the content remotely without being onsite.
